Welcome to the X-Yachts Owners Association. The association was set up in February 2011 to promote racing, rallies and social events for X-Yacht owners in the UK & Ireland.
The Owners Association website comprises two parts. Publicly available information includes details on becoming a member and the exclusive offers available to members, a calendar of events and a crew register. The members’ area of the site is a private section where members of the Owners Association have access to a range of X-Yachts tuning guides and a forum for the discussion of all aspects of owning, sailing and racing an X-Yacht.
The Owners Association is currently managed by a committee of three owners, but with the active support and encouragement of X-Yachts (GB) Ltd. Events planned for 2012 include:
Saturday 10 March 2012 – Fitting-Out Supper in London at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, Knightsbridge
Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 September 2012 – Sailing rally to Cowes with a Saturday evening reception and dinner at the Royal Yacht Squadron
Friday 2 November 2012 - AGM and Laying-Up Supper, London
The Owners Association will also host events at the X-Yachts Solent Cup (Friday 4 – Sunday 6 May) and one afternoon during the Southampton Boat Show (Friday 14 – Sunday 23 September).
Enquiries are being made about the possibility of organising an event in the West Country.
