 More impressive X-34 results...

Colin Byrne, X-34#1 owner, has achieved more impressive results, this time in the Saturday Series for Dublin Bay Sailing Club.

Colin's comments on the race;

"We were first overall on both IRC and Echo for the second series in Dublin Bay which consisted of 10 races with two discards. You will see that in IRC, for the 8 races, we averaged just a little over second place in each race which is not bad considering the competition which included J109s, A35s, an X37 and one or two other types of boats. It is also interesting to note that despite having a rating lower than the other boats (i.e. the other boats have a higher rating, and therefore faster on the water and able to get clear air, etc.) we still managed to come out on top!"

X-34 Triumph in Ireland

Colin Byrne, owner of X-34#1 Xtravagance, has achieved 2nd place overall on both IRC and ECHO in the Dublin Bay Sailing Club Cruiser Challenge.

Most of the boats in the class were either A35s, J109s or Corby 33s. The only boat that beat Colin and his crew was a Corby 33 with 3 professionals onboard. Please click on the link below to view a PDF of race results.
